SmartLink, a national staffing firm based in Annapolis, MD was founded in 2000. The company specializes in the telecommunications, energy and government industries. Smartlink currently has employees working with Fortune 500 companies nationwide.
The game of lacrosse, both Men's and Women's has been extremely beneficial in building the foundation of Smartlink. President and CEO, Brendan Kelly, emphasizes the importance of giving back to the game by sponsoring teams, events and camps throughout the year. Smartlink recently renewed its commitment as the title sponsor of the Smartlink Day of Rivals. The event features the 88th Army-Navy game and the 106th Maryland-Johns Hopkins game. The Smartlink Day of Rivals will be held on April 17, 2010 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
Smartlink has enjoyed great success with its club lacrosse teams. In 2001 Smartlink joined the USCLA (United States Club Lacrosse Association), and won championships from 2002-2005.
Smartlink's Men's Elite Team has won 6 of the last 7 Ocean City Lacrosse Classics, including this past summer. Past championships at the "War on the Shore" and "Patterson Park Charm City Classic" add to the team's impressive resume. Currently the Elite team is comprised of Smartlink staff members as well as professional players, including:
